A Day in the Life of Me #1

So yesterday, I was at school. Friday's are one of those really "oh-do-i-have-too" days - sometimes it's even worse waking up in the morning and knowing all you've got is three classes and then a bus ride home again, and it feels a tad on the pointless side. Anyway, this Friday in particular was Red Nose Day, which meant we didn't have to wear uniform - as long as we wore something red instead. This of course, made for a very challenging morning, swapping red cardigans and T-Shirts with my sister and trying to not to dress like a tomato. Fortunately, when I got to school, I soon realized I was far from the strangest looking person there - my Drama teacher had painted his entire self red, and two boys had shaved their hair for charity. It really was great to see - and good to know that's it is all in the name of a good cause.

I was absoloutely positive that this Friday was going to be my Lucky Day. Don't ask me where I got that idea from - since I fell down the stairs in the morning, followed by a close encounter with a mammoth spider. Anyway, it was going quite well. Breaktime was a laugh with my friends, and my Guidance Teacher let me know that I'd got myself an article in the local newspaper! But, of course, there is always a downside... we had PE last period. PE is, by far, my least favourite subject ever. The fact that making you run around in the freezing Scottish winds and rains is still legal is unbelievable. Of course, my PE teacher showed us no mercy, and dragged us out to face the bitter winds to play a game of football.

Ugh. If PE is my least favourite subject, football is my least favourite sport. I mean, I honestly do not see the point in the game (as I have told my PE teacher countless times - normally to the reply of "Try harder!"). Why kicking a bit of cow skin around a pitch with a bunch of over competitive kids who like nothing more than to ridicule the "less able" students (In other words, me) is meant to be "fun", I will never know. After what seemed like a billion years, we finally got off the astro-pitch and made it out of the cold - with only windswept tuggy hair and signs of frostbite to show for it. After that, of course, it was a mad dash to my bus, when I then listened to my sister (Emily) rabbit on about her latest boy-issue for the journey home.

Typical day...
